Builders count an optimum case when construction is conducted in conditions of little power sedimentary a cover. In particular, in Vyborg р-not Leningrad region. Therefore when in 1997 suddenly, without any seen reasons in Vysotsk the double storied bricky building of city high school has collapsed, it has caused confusion.
Application of the SSP method has allowed to discover two tectonic faulting crossing its foundation. The revealed tectonic faultings are correlated to system of visually noticeable fractures in walls of school.
For an example, is given the SSP-section on a 4-th profile. According to this section, thickness of sedimentary soils in a zone of measurements has 28 m. 
The tectonic dislocation with a break of continuity but without shift. The depth of a hollow in tectonic zone is 22 m.
25.10.01г. in New York, in southern part Manhattan the facade 15 - a floor house has crashed down by building an additional storey of a house on 1 level. It is a standard case when the part of a house is in a zone of the lowered bearing capacity of a ground (i.e. in a zone of a tectonic disturbance). This case completely coincides that has taken place in Ufa (destruction of a barrack of military school in 1998г).
We do not doubt that destruction of the Palace of sports of Stavropol (1999г), of the house in Cairo (in 2000г), of the Palace of Celebrations in Jerusalem (2001г) and many other wrecks, which reasons have remained obscure, have the same reason. Namely, a pliability and coming down of a soil under a part of the house in a zone of a tectonic disturbance.
