Search of the underground objects during a lining of underground communications

     The lining of communications a underground way allows to carry out operations under roads without a stop on them movements, under houses and other objects, not influencing in on their normal operation. However thus always there is a probability that the tunneling shield may meet an obstacle which it can not overcome on the way. It may be boulders, the foundation of the destroy construction, metal or reinforced-concrete armature etc.

     So, for example, at a lining of a line for a sewer along embankment Sinopskaya (SPb) the tunneling shield which has diameter of 1 m and moved on depth of 6-7 m, has met an obstacle which at the further inspection showed as the remains of the church foundation once taking place there.
     The profile made by a SSP-method, has shown a detail of this situation. Interpretation of the SSP- section is shown in the right part of figure.
     The tunneling shield has overcome two wooden piles (S1 and S2) and near to 7-th m of a profile was rested against a stone laying of object N 1. As it is seen, object N 2 is more deeply.
